Janipur police recovered missing girl from Kishtwar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 9: Police have recovered a missing girl who was allegedly kidnapped by youth from Kishtwar a few days back. According to sources, Police party from Janipura police station led by Inspector Tahir Hussain recovered the girl identified as Ambika Thakur, 19, of Sounder Dachhan who along with a youth identified as Haqnawaz Hussain Mir of Zerwar Bhunzwah Kishtwar was moving under suspicious circumstances outside Jammu High Court. After noticing the doubtful movement of the couple, police swung into action and during questioning both Ambika and Haqnawaz informed the police that they were on run from their family members and want to get registered court marriage, but due to ongoing strike in courts, they both were looking for alternative legal way to get married. After the sustain questioning of both Ambika and Haqnawaz, Janipur police brought the matter into the notice of Kishtwar police who informed their counterparts in Jammu that a FIR 318 stands registered against Haqnawaz in police station Kishtwar lodged at the instance of the parents of the girl. After getting information about the detention of both Ambika and Haqnawaz Mir by Janipur police, Kishtwar police reached Jammu and took custody of the both the detained persons. The girl reportedly told the police that she hasn’t been kidnapped by Haqnawaz and told the police that she had willingly left the home along with him so that they get married.
