| Punjab based drug smuggler nabbed | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 9: A Pathankot, Punjab based drug smuggler was arrested by Bakshi Nagar police with 3000 intoxicant Capsules in a trap that was laid here today.
Police said that said peddler was arrested on the disclosure of the peddler arrested on Wednesday.
Police said that following the information from the drug peddler arrested on the yesterday a case FIR No. 170/2011 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act registered yesterday in which police recovered 5000 intoxicant capsules (3000 Pyremol Spasm and 2000 Pyrevon Spasm) from a drug peddler Sham Lal S/o Late Inder Parkash R/o Nowshera Rajouri. Police taking the lead from his disclosures about a drug peddler from Punjab is coming for selling among the youth of local area, police said further adding that Bakshi Nagar Police headed by SHO Sameer Geelani struck a clue about the Punjab based supplier of drugs namely Rajesh Kumar Raju son of Romesh Kumar R/o Dhangu Road Pathankot and arrested him from Bakshi Nagar area alongwith a consignment of 3000 intoxicant capsules.
The arrested drug peddler is the main supplier of the intoxicant capsules from Punjab to Jammu and is a big catch.
A case FIR No. 171/2011 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Bakshi Nagar and further investigation of the case is going on to ascertain other local drug suppliers.
