Jammu Dec 9: Launching an all out attack against senior BJP member and leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitely, expelled BJP members from Jammu and Kashmir accused Jaitely for hatching conspiracy against them and termed him virus within the BJP Party.
They accuse Jaitely that he was involved in ruining the party at both state levels as well as at central level.
While addressing the media persons in a joint press conference at Press Club Jammu the expelled BJP MLA Master Lal Chand said that during 2009 Rajya Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir in which Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Ghulam Nabi Azad were candidates, Jaitely on the day of election called on mobile number of Prof Chaman Lal Gupta and advised him to direct three part MLA’s not to vote.
He said that on inquiry by Gupta, Arun Jaitely told Chaman Lal Gupta that NC President Dr Farooq Abdullah is short of three votes and requires the help of BJP voters.
Expelled BJP MLA claimed that while he was sitting next to Chaman Lal Gupta,. Gupta strongly opposed any such move from Arun Jaitely over phone. Lal Chand said that Gupta told Arun Jaitely that he along with other party leaders are fighting against the National Conference in Jammu and Kashmir with tooth and nail.
After refusal from Chaman Lal Gupta, Jaitely called Ashok Khujaria on phone and advised him to cast the vote in favour of Dr. Abdullah. He alleged that Ashok Khujaria and Jughal Kishore cast their vote in favour of Farooq Abdullah.
“Arun Jaitely is like a virus in BJP, who is eating the party since he (Jaitely) was hand in glow with Farooq Abdullah in Jammu and Kashmir and with Congress in center,” he said. Lal Chand even challenged Arun Jaitely to win Municipality seat in Delhi. He added that he had already filed a defamation suit in the court at Bani against O.P Kholi, J.P Nanda, R.P Singh, etc and said that despite warrants, they didn’t turned out in court and hope that court will soon issue non bailable warrants against them . Another expelled BJP MLA Jagdish Raj Sopolia said that they were right path and have never ditch the party.
