AJKMPJ demands inclusion of PM under Lokpal
12/9/2011 10:19:59 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 9: All J&K Movement for Peace & Justice (AJKMPJ) has strongly demanded that Prime Minister, Judiciary, CBI and employees of C&D grade should be included in the ambit of “Jan Lok Pal Bill” being placed before the Parliament.
Addressing a press conference here today, Movement criticized the Congress led UPA government at centre for applying unwanted suspicious tactics while framing the draft of Jan Lok Pal Bill.
Movement further disclosed that its members and other supporters as solidarity towards Anna’s one day “Anshan” at Jantar Mantar ,New Delhi, will assemble outside the Press Club Jammu, on December 11, to raise their voice for passing an effective/strong Jan Lok Pal Bill in the ongoing session of the Parliament having full jurisdiction over the working of PM, Judiciary, CBI and employees of B&C grade.
“All J&K Movement for Peace & Justice” was of the firm view that only Parliament’s approved strong “Jan Lok Pal Bill” at centre will be an authentic beginning to curb the corruption in other states of the country by appointing the prominent personalities as “Lok Ayukatas”. While commenting over the prevailing conditions in J&K, unfortunately graded as no.1 in corruption among the Indian states, Movement was of the view that no effective steps are being initiated by the present coalition state government to come out of this blot.
Movement further urged the state government for an early formation of “State Vigilance Commission” and all technical support to the “State Accountability Commission” for an effective working against corruption. It further appealed the general masses and the social activists to struggle for adopting a transparency based genuine appointment procedure at top administrative levels for the needed outcome.
