Locals warned protest if water supply not restored

RAJOURI, Dec 9: Locals of Batkhalara Mohalla falling on the boundary of villages Mubarakpura, Mankote and Palulian and centre place of Sasan Chowk today warned protest against PHE department of Rajouri if the water supply to their area is not restored.
Talking to Early Times, locals of Batkhalara said that during the construction of road from Mubarkpura to Samyan Gali under PMGSY, the water pipes were badly damaged in their area but even after the passage of more than nineteen months, these pipes have not been renewed. They also said that PHE officials including JE appointed in the area is well aware of the situation but they are paying no attention to sort out this public problem for which they are being paid.
An 80 years old woman named Koushalya Devi and another woman named Kunti Sharma living in Batkhalara said that due to indifferent behaviour of related PHE authorities, they rely on natural water sources for their requirement and demanded for immediate restoration of water supply.
