| IAC to hold protest today in support of Anna | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 9: Jammu & Kashmir unit of India Against Corruption (IAC) will organize a dharna protest at Mubarak Mandi tomorrow to support Anna Hazare’s fast protest at Jantar Mantar in support of Jan Lokpal Bill.
J&K Co-ordinator of India IAC Ravinder Raina said briefing media said as Anna Hazare will sit on a protest at Jantar Mantar tomorrow; it is our duty to support Anna Hazare once again.
He requested the people of Jammu & Kashmir to join the dharna at Mubarak Mandai for a strong Janlokpal.
We fully support the demands of Anna that the lower bureaucracy, higher judiciary, provisions for Citizen's Charter and setting up of Lokayuktas at the state level be brought under the ambit of the Bill.
He said it is clear from the Standing Committee draft that the government is cheating the people.
The committee had not included the lower bureaucracy and the CBI in the Lok Pal's ambit. This is in spite of the fact that the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh gave in writing that three demands would be accepted.
