| Women wrestling meet abandoned | | | early times report
JAMMU, Dec 9: Directorate of Sports and Physical Education of the University of Jammu (JU) today abandoned the annual inter-college wo-men's wrestling competition due to lack of participation. Since only one team from Government Women College Kath-ua turned up for the competition, the organizers left with no other option to discard the event. "It is true that the competition has been abandoned due to lack of participation. We had set in place the needed infrastructure to conduct the event at the Gymnasium Hall. However, finding only one team, we left with no other option but to discard it," Assistant Director of Sports and Physical Education, Dr Sonam Angchok said. |
