Remove illegal structures voluntarily: Bhalla | | | JAMMU, DECEMBER 10- In order to ensure road widening of the Satwari-Kunjwani road, Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla has asked the people who have constructed their ‘Khokas’ illegally to remove them voluntarily without any wastage of time so that the Government is able to complete the 6-lane project through R&B department. This was stated by the Minister while interacting with the people during his inspection tour to Gangyal area, here today. Bhalla asked the R&B engineers to put their sincere efforts in completing the prestigious project within stipulated time frame. He said the project would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 50 crore by constructing 11 culverts and doubled-sided deep drain with slab, road dividers besides landscaping. Regarding compensation for 579 trees coming under the widening at Social Forestry closure at Kunjwani, the Minister said a proposal for sanctioning Rs. 36.64 lakh has already been submitted to the Planning Department to meet the expenditure on account of compensation for the trees and re-plantation adding that the Social Forest Ministry has already giving the approval for removing the tress to facilitate the pace of progress on the road being developed to 6-lane from Kunjwani to Satwari road.
