BAJ extended its strike upto December 14, 2011 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 10: Bar Association Jammu (BAJ) today extended its ongoing strike against the taking away of powers of registration from Judicial Officers till December 14. According to the BAJ spokesperson the ongoing strike today entered 16 days today which was started on November 26. In the meeting held today President BAJ BS Slathia also told the House appreciated the Legal fraternity across the State to unitedly oppose the reported move of the Govt. in strongest possible manner. He stressed that the members of the Bar and the public are ready and willing to intensify the agitation and take it to the logical end. Adv Vikram Sharma General Secretary BAJ apprised the bar members about the meeting BAJ delegation headed by its President B S Slathia comprising senior members and young Lawyers with the Finance Minister on the invitation from the Govt. He further clarified that the mutual agreement as coming forth in a section of press is an intentionally distorted version from the Govt to mislead the general public and to use it as a ploy to subvert the genuine public grievance against the move of the Govt of media was ever entered with the Govt.
