| Rs. 2.5 crore spent under SGRY in Ang | | | Anantnag, Jan 11 Against an allocation of Rs. 560.75 lakh, of Rs. 204.75 lakh has been expended on 1006 different development works under SGRY in Anantnag district. Out of which 520 works have been completed during the last nine months. This was told in a meeting convened by District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Mr. G.A.Peer to review the achievements registered so far in the district under Rural Development Sector. As many as 11 villages of the district are being developed as Model Villages at a project cost of Rs. 13.20 crore. The construction of 10 Rural Information Centres, 10 common facility centres, 6 playgrounds, 6 children parks, 205 lanes and drains/link roads and 200 other works is at various stages of execution. Over Rs. 2.24 crore have so far been spent on these works. Regarding rehabilitation of Waltengoo Nar victims, the meeting was told that work on 34 hutment’s is apace. Moreover cowsheds with CGI roofing, interior lanes/drains have also been constructed, while work on water schemes is under progress. |
