Suresh Sadotra unanimously elected as chairman JKCCLA | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 11: A meeting of JKCCLA was held today to assess the progress made in respect to memorandum submitted by the association to Minister to Higher Education, Advisor to Chief Minister and others and also to elect chairman of JKCCLA. The meeting was presided over by Nayeem Ahmad Malik president JKCCLA. Meanwhile Suresh Sadotra was unanimously elected as chairman of JKCCLA. The meeting appreciated the role of Minister for Higher Education towards the solution of long pending demands of JKCCLA but was of opinion that the things were moving in a slow pace which needs to be accelerated. The demands included regularization of all Contractual Lecturers/ Teaching Assistants working on academic arrangement in Colleges of J&K. The Contractual Lecturers/ Teaching Assistants with three academic years of experience shall be exempted from annual reapply process. All the Contractual Lecturers/ Teaching Assistants working on academic arrangement shall draw a monthly salary of Rs.21600/. Department shall allow all contractual Lecturers/ Teaching Assistants to pursue part-time, M.Phil, and Ph.D. and shall do the needful so that University of Jammu and University of Kashmir allow the same. Wherever required the leave without pay shall be sanctioned. The circular increasing the workload to 6 classes shall be revoked and old system of 4 classes to be followed with immediate effect. Remote Area Allowance on the pattern of Doctors shall be given to Contractual Lecturers/ Teaching Assistants serving in remote areas. JKCCLA Chairman Suresh Sadotra urged the Minister to issues necessary orders with respect to all issues pertaining to department only and for which concurrence of other departments is not required like revocation of increase in workload order, end to annual reaaply process, permission to pursue Ph. D., and M.Phil part-time and remote area allowancw The representatives of different colleges who attended the meeting included Kamal Kishore Verma, Supreme Singh, Suresh Sharma, Arun Kumar, Bindu Jamwal, Pawan Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Surat SinghAnit Kotwal, Yogesh, Anil Sharma, Shalini Sharma, Arti Sharma Rajesh Hali and others.
