Enquiring committee found no irregularities in Diwali lucky draw

JAMMU , December 11: The enquiring committee constituted by DDC Rajouri to find any sort of irregularity in organising the Diwali lucky draw has finally submitted its report stating no irregularities or up downs being made in organising the draw.
It should be noted that one Rajesh Kumar S/O Kalu Ram R/O Jawahar Nagar attained permission from District administration to organize Diwali lucky draw named Diwali Dhamaka vide the office no- JC/DMR/1441-44 dated 07.09.2011. But on 26.10.2011 when this draw was organised on New Bus stand Rajouri and 132 prizes were put to draw, some of the participants raised hue and cry that irregularities have been committed in the serial numbers of tickets and people became provocative and law and order problem arose on this while ticket box and draw lots were seized by administration.
After this issue, District Magistrate ordered an enquiry vide office order number JC/DMR/2289-91 dated 05.11.2011, by a team comprising AC Revenue and CAO District Fund Officer of Rajouri. After a detailed investigation, the enquiry committee has furnished report on 02.12.2011. It has reported that no irregularities as alleged have been found and further recommended to rehold the draw. After this enquiry, District Magistrate has instructed to conduct the draw of remaining 68 lots out of 200 in the presence of Magistrate Tehsildar Rajouri and SHO P/S Rajouri on 18th December 2011 at 1100 hours. District magistrate has issued an order in this regard dated 10.12.2011 vide office no JC/DMR/2971-74.
