As a conscious reaction to incessant betrayal of Rehber-e-Taleem teacher’s and deliberate delay tactics of Government Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar-e-taleem forum today organised Continuous protest rally in order to reinforce the realization of their demands the second day demonstration under at the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar-a-Taleem Teacher’s Forum started at Press Club Jammu. After marching through Gummat, they proceed to Shalamar Chowk and sat on dharna.
They were demanding for enhancement of monthly honarium up to basic pay, inclusion of five years rendered services. Registration of Ev’s as RET Teachers after two years. Minimization of Contractual Period from five years to three years and provision of SRO-43 in favour of RET teachers. Hazi Abdul Aziz, chairman Ret forum J&K said as evident from the present education scenario, Ret teaches have infused a new sense of competition and proved instrumental in uplifting the education standard of the said. Despite having tall qualifications, like, PHD, M.Phill, M.Sc., B.Ed in their bio-data they are paid peanuts (Rs. 1500/- per month). A humiliating honarioum there by down grading the structure of a teacher. When it was to the enhancement of the salaries f a legislator, Finance is no problem but poor RET teachers are silenced the gimmicks, like financial crunch and other excuses. A sheer human rights violation that teases the fact of “Equal work equal wages”, History stands a witness, the nation that side times and degrades a teacher can never achieve a developed status. The Rehbar-e Taleem Scheme has only paralyzed and victimized the teacher, the nation builder. Aijaz hussain Shah Zonal president Ret forum Poonch said our worthy Chief Minister has made hollow promise time and again regarding the redressal of our grievances and even former finance minister Beigh announced the enhancement of honorarium in the floor of the house but it all proved to be hoax and nothing has come to the RET’s in reality . this delay tracks of government compelled the RET teacher come on roads, once again Meena Sharma Zonal President of Kathua said the RET teachers forum have strongly condemned the brutal the charge on 10th of January , protest rally in which dozens of RET teachers were seriously Injured.
