| AIBCU deputation calls on Soz | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 11:A deputation of All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) today met with the State President Pradesh Congress Committee J&K Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz under the presidentship of Abdul Majid Malik, President of the Union and put fourth the long pending and demands.
It was apprised that J&K State is the only State where Mandal report has not been implemented.
The deputation put forth the various demands before Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz including
enhancement in reservation from 2% to 27% or use para 95 of the Apex Court's Judgement of 1992 on Mandal Report which pleads for horizontal reservation with out disturbing the existing set up of reservations to different categories, enhancement in creamy layer from 3 lakh to 9 lakh as per Central Govt. pattern, abolishing the income bar for the OBC students scholarships.
Prominents who were pat of the deputation include HD Betab, Bishan Dass, Mouj Sharan, Sudershan Keshab, Deep Malia, Sushil Pandey, Sudesh Tidyal and Shambu Nath.
