| Programme on communal harmony organized at JIAR girls Hostel | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, DEC 11: A colorful function was organized in girls’ hostel of Jammu Institute of Ayurved and Research (JIAR) here on Sunday. The students from colleges of physiotherapy, Computer College, paramedical sciences and Trikuta Degree College also participated. The students presented various cultural items like dance, songs, Kashmiri and Dogri folk dances and Ladakhi dance.
Sarpanch of Raipur Domana- Kuljit Singh was the Chief Guest on the occasion. In his speech, Sarpanch appreciated regional unity in the hostels, saying that the students from all the three regions of state were living in unity which reflects the unity in diversity.
Chairman JIAR- Dr. Roop Lal Sharma, who presided over the function, said that hostellers were a symbol of cultural and communal unity. He said that students not only excel in academics but in cultural activities as well.
On this occasion, appreciation and gifts were distributed among the wardens who worked with dedication for maintaining discipline in the hostel
