The J&K Badminton Association is going to conduct 34th J&K State Badminton Championship at Indoor sport Complex, M.A. Stadium from 14th to 17th Jan 2007. About 150 players from all over the state will take part in the tournament.
Inauguration of the championship will take place on 14th Jan & finals will take place on 17th Jan, 2007, evening. The categories for championship will be as follows:
Men, Women, Junior Boys, Junior girls, Sub Jr bys, Sub Jr girls, Mini boys, Mini girls, Veteran, Singles & Doubles.
The new scoring system will take place in the whole tournament i.e. game of 21 scoring points & best of three games.
On the basis of performance of the players, the state teams for Senior Nationals & Veteran National being held at Patna (Bihar) and Vishakhapatnan (A.P.) will be selected.
