Cong would succeed in empowering Sarpanchs, Panchs: Prof Soz | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Dec 11:Expressing a sense of satisfaction that Congress Party has now become a vibrant force in Kashmir, Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President and Member of Parliament Prof Saifuddin Soz said today that Valley people have started to register their grievances with the Congress leadership without any inhibitions. Addressing a mammoth public meeting at Bandipora, Prof Soz said that this response of the people is because of the fact that PCC functionaries and workers are accessible to the people for whatever service they can render to them. Soz told the people that he was confident that Congress party cadres would become an effective instrument of service to them and their problems would be solved. Speaking further on the occasion, Prof Soz assured the people that Congress would succeed in empowering Sarpanchs and Panchs, so that the democracy would become vibrant at their door step. He told the people that many things were as yet in the pipeline in respect of opening of many routes across the border , strengthening of dialogue process between the centre and people of the state and as also with Pakistan and Congress party was in the fore front of these developments. Prof Soz accepted the demands of the people and assured them that he would help them to resolve their problems to the best of his ability. He particularly told them that he will meet all Sarpanchs to identify their developmental requirements. Addressing the gathering, Minister for Health Sham Lal Sharma assured the people that he will examine functioning of all Health Centre in the District and will strengthen these centers, so that common people will not suffer. Minister for Youth Services and Sports, R S Chib assured the people that he will examine all the problems of youth and will try to solve them to the their satisfaction He assured the people that youth who were selected for training in Nehru Yuva Kendras would be regularized and would take up the matter with the Union Sports Minister.
