Govt should regulate transfer policy for professors: NPSU | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 11: Alleging complete disarray in the higher education department of the state, the National Panthers Students Union (NPSU) said today that no one in the system is ready to follow the set procedures, rules and regulations. Addressing media persons here, Partap Singh Jamwal (Provincial President NPSU) alleged that the professors who are working in different colleges of Jammu province were transferred but their transfers were not done in a transparent manner. He said that those who ought to be transferred were not moved from their present place of postings even though they had their maximum services in a single college. Jamwal alleged that such professors are using their political power to stop their transfers. NPSU leader also alleged that those who were transferred to different colleges have not yet joined their new place of postings. Jamwal said that due to this approach of the teachers the education system has totally collapsed due to which the students are suffering. Jamwal demanded that the transfer policy should be maintained properly by the government and those professors who were transferred to different colleges should be directed to serve there for at least two years.
