Attack happened in Sgr for which Abdullahs advocate AFSPA revocation | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 11: There can be nothing more than this to serve as an eye opener for 'politically over ambitious' yet immature Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who simply refuses to budge from his stand on revocation of AFSPA. While CM stands firm and his father Dr Farooq Abdullah supporting him blindly over the issue, one of the seniormost leader in the second line of organisation Ali Mohammad Sagar had a miraculous escape while armed militants brazenly dared attack his cavalcade. The militants swooped into action in an area which is being strongly advocated by the Adbullahs to be the first district from where AFSPA should be removed. Zaldgaar falls in the heart of Srinagar city where NC and father son duo, for quite some time have been crying hoarse, there is no militancy and therefore continuance of this law doesn't make any sense. Zaldagar, where Sagar had gone for personal enagement witnessed this militant attack which was primarily targetted at Sagar. No matter Sagar escaped unhurt in the attack, but the severity and calculative action with precision from the militants must raise certain questions for it left one of the PSOs dead and three more escort gurads injured. Is this high time for NC and Abdullahs to understand why they face criticism and opposition even from their own ally Congress that there should be no hurry in taking this sensitive decision...? |
