| Vohra inaugurates seminar on bio-terrorism at Goa University | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 12: Governor N. N. Vohra inaugurated a Seminar on “Bio-Terrorism and its Likely Impact on Maritime Security Strategy”, organized by the Goa University at Mandovi Hall, International Centre, Goa today.
Governor, as Chief Guest, in his inaugural address spoke extensively about the varied aspects of Bio-Terrorism, its likely impact on maritime security strategy and the measures required for effectively dealing with it. Earlier, in his welcome address, Prof. Daleep Deobagkar, Vice Chancellor, Goa University, expressed his gratitude to the Governor for inaugurating the Seminar.
Topics discussed during the three working sessions of the day-long Seminar were Bio-Terrorism, Maritime Strategy and Disaster Management. Those who attended the Seminar included Gen. (Retd) N. C. Vij, former Chief of Army Staff, Admiral (Retd) Arun Prakash, former Chief of Naval Staff and senior medical scientists. Prof. Gautam Sen presented a Vote of Thanks.
