| AJKLTF discuss teachers’ employees problems | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 12: To discuss the problems of teachers and employee in general a meeting of All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teacher Federation was held under the chairmanship of Bushan S. Verma state president and Maheshwar Parsad Sharma convenor of the federation.
The federation felt deep concern over the agreement given to release the arrear of 6th Pay Commission in 5 equal installments to Employees and Pensioners, where as the arrear of the MLAs and MLCs given in one go and the Medical allowance is increased from 300 to 1000 leaving the employees on 300 only.
The Federation lamented and discussed that the transfers in education department are banned by the Govt. due to mid academic session. The Federation discussed that it is too late to ban the transfers as education in schools has highly disturbed due to mass level transfers of Teacher/ Master/ Lecture/ Head Master/ Principal in the month of Oct, Nov and December 2011.
Free Supply books are not completed as yet the academic session is going to close as the Federation has requested the government to find some other ways to supply the books to the children in time/ before the start of academic session.
The zero kilometer transfers are condemned by the Federation. AJKLTF wants a high level inquiry in zero kilometers transfers and amendments in transfers orders in urban areas where as the teachers of Jammu City working in rural area for years long remained untouched in mass level zero kilometer urban transfers.
Federation also demanded that promotee Principals be adjusted in the needy place adjustment of the promotee in the urban area and the primer institutions without any experience is objectionable.
DA installment be released in favour of employee due from 1-7-2011 and the federation also condemned the ways of the Govt. for choosing the Teacher/ Master/ Lecture etc for the best teacher award given to teacher on the teacher’s day i.e 5th September every year.
Those who were present in the meeting included Parshotam Sharma, Prem Sharma, Mohan Singh, Harbajan Singh, Bachan Lal, Ramesh Gupta, Hardeep Singh, Raj Kumar, Shamsher Singh, Pardeep Kumar, ( Provincial President) Ghous Mohammad, Shashi Paul Sharma, Mohammad Quasim Malik (Vice President), Kuldeep Sharma, Ranvir Singh, Saleem Ahamed, Kulbushan Sharma, Ram Paul Sharma, Som Dutt, Baldeev Raj Sautpaul Shastri, Ram Paul Shastri, Ravinder Verma, Rajesh Kumar, Ram Kumar, Sanjeev Sharma, Manjeet Singh and others.
