| Anjum-e-Tareeqi Hind Delhi Khaliq Anjum visits Department of Urdu | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 12: The General Secretary of Anjum-e-Tareeqi Hind Delhi Khaliq Anjum today visited department of Urdu, University of Jammu along with noted Urdu poet of sub-continent Kushbir Singh Shad.
Both the legendary Urdu writers interacted with the faculty members and students and scholars of the department of Urdu. They were accompanied by noted Short Story
writer Anand Leher.
While interacting with faculty members, students and scholars they describe department of Urdu, University of Jammu as one of the best department of Urdu in India. Khaliq Anjum said that it was a good visit in the sense that department had developed both academically and infrastructurally tremendously.
Lauding the role of HOD Urdu Shohab Inayat Malik and his team included Sukhchain Singh, MA. Wani, Mohd Reyaz Ahmed, Chaman Lal, A.R Manhas, Farat Shamim for constructing a memorable auditorium on the name of Gain Chand Jain seminar hall who was a great Researcher of Urdu language.
Speaking on the occasion Kushbir Singh Shad said that he had visited various department in Indo-Pak but had not seen so beautiful and attractive department in whole sub continent as department of Urdu, University of Jammu is.
Kushbir Singh Shad was of the view that Urdu is flourishing in Jammu University day by day because of the efforts of the HOD Urdu and his team.
Speaking on the occasion Shohab Inayat Malik, HOD Urdu thanked both legendary writers for spearing their valuable time in the department.
He informed that in connection with the centaury celebrations of Sadat Hassan Mantoo department of Urdu, University of Jammu in collaboration with Anjum-e-Tareeqi Hind and Daily Uddan is organizing two day National Seminar on different dimensions of Sadat Hassan Mantoo on 12th and 13th of January 2011.
He also invited both the writers to participate in the said seminar. They accepted the invitation. Reyaz Ahmed conducting the proceeding of the Program while Chaman Lal presented a vote of thanks. A large number of students and scholars were present on the occasion who gave a thunder of applause to both writers.
