| JU administration making assurances only: SC/ST Empl | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu Dec 12: The Jammu University SC/ST Employees Association today alleged that the SC/ST employees in Jammu University are being doled assurances only.
In a meeting the participants recalled that during the annual function of the Jammu University Non-Teaching Employees Union held on August 01, 2008, Professor Amitabh Mattoo, the them Vice-Chancellor of University of Jammu while speaking had publicly announced that he had settled the long-drawn disputed appointment case of R L Kaith but the official order was never issued in this regard.
Thereafter, Kaith met the present Vice-Chancellor Professor Varun Sahni on August 07, 2009 and apprised him of the full facts with regard to his case, Professor Sahni assured Kaith that he would discuss his case face to face with the Hon’ble Chancellor but till date nothing has been done in this regard
Even the Hon’ble High Court of Jammu and Kashmir too has issued an ‘Interim Order’ for consideration of Kaith as Assistant Registrar but it too failed to give respite.
