HC stayed election of CC Bank

Jammu, Dec 12: J&K High Court Jammu Wing today responding to the petition filed by Kailash Langer stayed the election to the Board of Directors Citizens Co-operative Bank Limited till next date.
Justice Hasnain Massodi after hearing Adv Anil Sethi appearing for the petitioner observed that having regard to the case set-up, election process for the election to the Board of Directors Citizen Cooperative Bank Limited is stayed till next date before the Bench.
In the petition filed through Adv Anil Sethi, State High Court issued notice to the Advocate General. The petitioner’s case is that he though entitled to participate in the elections is being prevented from participating on the pretext of communication dated November 4, 2011 addressed by the Registrar Cooperative Societies J&K to Managing Director CC Bank Ltd where under all ex-Directors of the Bank are disqualified from participating in the election process.
