| One arrested, eleven animal rescued | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT

Ramban Police today foiled the nefarious designs of bovine smugglers by rescuing eleven animals which were being illegally carried towards Kashmir and arrested one bovine smuggler, police sources said.
According to police reports on a tip off that some bovine animals are being smuggled from Jammu to Srinagar, a Police party headed by Inspector Ashwani Sharma, SHO Ramsoo under the close supervision of SP Ramban, Anil Magotra established a special Naka on the National Highway near Ramsoo.
“During checking, the naka party intercepted one Mahindra Jeep bearing registration Number JK02AG-9713 carrying 11 bovine animals. Driver of Vehicle identified as Shabir Ahmed S/o Fareed Ahmed R/o Parnote Ramban was arrested on spot, police said further adding, “a case against FIR No. 45/2011 has been registered against at Police Station Ramsoo.” |
