3 militants, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir resident wife of an ultra arrested in Kashmir | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Dec 13:Three militants and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) resident wife of a Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant, were arrested along with arms and ammunition in Kashmir valley. Official sources said here today that a HM militant Mohammad Yousuf Bhat had recently infiltrated along with his PoK resident wife into this side from across the border. However, both were arrested in a joint operation by state police and 29 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) at Rangee Mode in Baramulla. Bhat, a resident of Kangan, Shopian, had crossed over to PoK for receiving arms training. However, he married a local girl Shahnaz Bibi, a resident of Chinari Muzaffarabad, capital of PoK. One revolver, three rounds and one hand grenade were recovered from the possession of Bhat. It was not immediately clear how the couple managed to reach Rangee Mode after infiltrating into this side despite high alert on the Line of Control (LoC) to prevent any infiltration by militants, waiting to sneak into Kashmir before the routes were closed due to heavy snowfall. The government has announced a policy to rehabilitate those Kashmiris in PoK, who wanted to return to their homes and lead a peaceful life here. About 100 requests have been received by the authorities from the Kashmiris in PoK who wanted to return to their homes. Dozens of militants had returned along with their wives and children from PoK during the past decade via Nepal or after crossing the LoC. However, majority of them had surrendered before police after their return. Meanwhile, in another operation police and 52 RR during a naka checking at Muqam crossing in Baramulla arrested two militants Mohammad Rafiq Lone of HM and Ejaz Ahmad Shah of Al-Barq outfit. Two pistols, two magazines and six pistol rounds were recovered from their possession.
