| SDM urges for health consciousness during awareness camp | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
MATRA (Dudu Basantgarh) DECEMBER 13- As a part of novel initiatives and constant motivation of Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Dudu Basantgarh Amit Sharma, a Health Education Camp was organized at Government Higher Secondary School Marta by Science & Technology Department in which large number of students, teachers and villagers of adjoining areas participated. The basic purpose behind organization of Health Education Camp was to impart knowledge about basic tips regarding maintenance of health and hygiene before the onset of harsh winter and snowy season in Dudu Basantgarh.
SDM Amit Sharma who was the chief guest mentioned in his address that sound body, mind and soul are the pre-requisites for achieving success in life and all necessary measures should be taken to maintain them. He emphatically talked about usage of age old rich methodologies such as Yoga, Pranayam, meditation and intake of healthy, nutritious and fibrous diet so that there is nil or negligible rate of health hazards in the entire Sub Division. Moreover, he urged towards community participation in this context through newly elected Panchayats, especially teaching fraternity who should do the mentoring role in educating public to maintain cleanliness and hygiene so that there is no risk of spread of epidemics and various kinds of pollutions such as air, water and noise pollutions in these naturally bestowed belts of Dudu Basantgarh. He sternly warned youngsters of the Sub Division against falling prey to fatalistic tendencies such as smoking, drinking, drug addiction and AIDS which can vitiate the innocence and tranquillity of the area and act as road block in the pathway of development and prosperity which Dudu Basantgarh has been treading for the last two years.
