Kashmiri Migrant Welcome Committee held meet | | | Early Times Report JAMMU , December 13 : A meeting of Kashmiri Migrant Welfare Committee 8ubash Nagar, Vikas Nagar, Sarwal Rehari, Janipura, Durga Nagar, Jammu were held at Vikas Nagar, Jammu. The meeting was presided over by A K Koul to discuss the problem being faced by the migrants residing on rental accommodation in different parts of Jammu division from last 20 years. These non camp migrants have been deprived from the facilities being provided to camps. This is because of the role of some self styled leaders who are active in giving false / baseless statements against Relief Department to hide their misgivings with the result the ongoing work were stopped at Jagti township for sometime. In the meeting the members have condemned the role of these elements and have appealed the migrant community to remain united to fight against these elements so that the ongoing construction work at Jagti township may not be delayed and the migrants residing in rental accommodation for last more than 20 years may get the chance of allotment of TRT8 in their favour. All the members have thanked to the Minister for Revenue Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla and Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Vinod Koul for their sincere efforts in solving the problems of Migrants community viz, construction of Jagti Township / allotment of TRTS, implementation of Prime Minister's Employment Package etc. All the members have appealed to the authorities to allot the TRTS to the migrants residing on rental accommodation from last 20 years. Those who attended the meeting are R.L. Trisal, Chand Rakesh Kumar, G L Bhat, Kuldeep Pandita, Vijay Krishan, Bushan Lal Raina, Rakesh Kumar Zutshi and others.
