| Sheikh Bashir’s demise condoled | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
DODA, Dec 13: A condolence meeting was held by the prominent writers, poets, media persons and various other social organisations in Doda and condoled the untimely death of a eminent social worker Sheikh Bashir Ahmed.
On the occasion Fatiha Khawani was also observed for the departed soul.
Speaking on the occasion, various speakers paid rich tributes to Sheikh Bashir and sympathies were expressed with the bereaved family.
Speakers described Sheikh as a legendry personality of the region who had devoted his life for the people of weaker sections of the society.
The speakers said that he had also created the awareness among the poor and down trodden student of the area about the education and their fundamental rights.
He served in the education department for 35 years with dedication and honesty which will be remembered always, the speakers said.
