DG visits Poonch, Rajouri; addresses Police Durbars Police committed to prevail a lasting peace in the state | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec.13: The Director General of Police (DGP), Kuldeep Khoda has said that J&K Police is committed to prevail a lasting peace in the state. He said that with the cooperation of people, a congenial and peaceful atmosphere has been created and the force would contribute more with the dint of their dedication and spirit of public service. DGP Khoda while addressing twin Police Durbars at Poonch and Rajouri today said that JKP has to become more people friendly and provide better policing. The people of the state have been extending full cooperation in our efforts of maintaining peace and we have to remain vigilant to the situation as the vested interests seize every opportunity to pollute the peaceful atmosphere, he added. The DGP said that after giving supreme sacrifices of our jawans and officers a sense of security has been instilled among the people and our youth are now feeling free to flourish in their careers. The force has to show high degree of resilience in maintaining law and order in the state to keep the expectations of the people. All the ill designs of the elements, inimical to peace, would be foiled, said the DGP.
