| Army lends helping hand in Pulse Polio | | | Mendhar | JAN 11
Madras (Travancore) under the aegis of Krishnaghati Bde organized Pulse Polio Immunization Camp in collaboration with mobile Medical Camp at Village Tain. The camp attracted keen interest among the villagers and got their kids immunized.
Under the aegis of this camp 350 needy children up to the age of 05 years were administered the pulse polio drops at their doorsteps. The immunization programme was also clubbed with a general medical camp wherein the villagers, elders, women and children were medically examined and provided with medicines free of cost. The aim of the programme was to provide much needed medical cover to the locals as a constant endeavors by Army for the upliftment of locals has not won the hearts and minds of the people but has also contributed opt the decline in the fundamentalist ideology in this region.
