| NSS organizes two days workshop on communal harmony | | | EARLY TIMES report
Jammu, Dec 14: NSS unit of GGM. Science College, Jammu today organized two days workshop on communal harmony.
On the second day of workshop ten groups of NSS volunteers went to different places in Jammu region for collection of funds for orphan’s, poor children, war widow’s etc. Principal of GGM science college Satinder Singh flagged off the groups and the volunteers undertaking such activities.
Each group carried a collection box. The students visited different places and collected money as much as possible and distributed communal harmony tickets.
Later the students came back to their colleges with their collection box. The counting of the collection fund was done under the supervision of principal and two program officers Rajinder Singh and Ram Singh.
The total amount collected by the NSS volunteers of science college was near about Rs 30,000. After that an impressive lecture was delivered by Rajinder Singh.
The whole program was coordinator by two NSS commanders Rohiy Kumar and Navjot Bakshi.
Others who were present include Partap Singh Jamwal, Vikram Singh Chib, Sachin Singh, Prikishit Bali, Vikram Partap, Shiv Naryan, Koshak, Rahul Sharma, Altaf Shah, Manpreet Kour, madhu Saini, sonika Gupta, Sandeep Kour, Varsha Rajput, Vinishika Jamwal, Alisha Gupta, Kanchan, Pallvi Sharma etc
