Crime Branch books some persons for human trafficking | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu Dec 14: Crime Branch Jammu today has registered a case in Human trafficking against the persons namely Shanker and Panchu for kidnapping a minor girl from West Bengal and thereafter illegally provided her as house-maid to Ajay Amla resident of Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. According to Crime Branch Jammu, a case against FIR No. 18/2011 u/s 344,374 RPC r/w Section 14 of Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986 was registered against the persons namely Shanker and Panchu for kidnapping a minor girl from West Bengal and thereafter illegally providing her as house-maid to one Ajay Amla R/o 62-A/B, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. The spokesperson said that a written complaint lodged by one D K Chouhan R/o New Delhi was received at Crime Headquarters alleging therein that one Mamta Munda D/o Ajay Munda had been working as a housemaid at the residence of one Ajay Amla R/o 62-A/B, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu for the last four years. “Mamta was working as a house-maid with one Ajay Amla at Gandhi Nagar, Jammu who subsequently did not release the girl when contacted by her mother, the statement said. On receipt of this complaint, an enquiry was initiated in Crime Branch, Jammu and during the course of enquiry, it was found that the said minor girl Mamta Munda was lured by her neighbours Shanker and Panchu who were running a Placement Service Bureau under the name and style “Raju Placement Service” at Delhi. “When Ajay Amla approached the said agency for a domestic help in the year 2006, they provided Mamta Munda to him as a domestic help after receiving a payment of Rs. 10,000/-. Ajay Amla brought her to Jammu and during her stay at Jammu she was not allowed to contact her parents in West Bengal, the statement said. Investigation of the case is in progress.
