| Satyam College celebrates Freshers' Day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Dec 14: Satyam College of Education, Lakhanpur today celebrated Freshers' Day.
Kuldip Wahi, Chairman, College Managing Committee was the chief guest on the occasion. Chief Guest inaugurated the function by lightning traditional lamp. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said that such type of functions generated better understanding among the students. These functions would help the students to boost the courage, confidence and morals of the students.
Earlier students presented colourful cultural programme. They danced to the tunes of folk and popular songs. Simar and Amandeep danced on "Radha Kaise Na Jale" and Rubi danced on "Bole Churian" were highly appreciated by the audience.
Himachali, Punjabi and patriotic songs were presented by Suman, Sonam and Sharda respectively.
The Punjabi folk dance Gidda was also performed by students.
Chief Guest Wahi gave away the prizes to Anil Fresher, Simar Fresher and Sonam, Ruby, Sharda, Amandeep and Mohan Lal and others.
Principal BL Patyal detailed the significance of extra curricular activities and sports.
He also urged the students to participate in these activities as these are part and parcel of the education.
