| Exhibition-cum-sale of Khadi products concludes | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Dec 14:
Three days District Level Exhibition-cum-sale of Khadi & Village Industries products at Mahajan Hall Kathua organized by J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB) to provide marketing linkage to the entrepreneurs of KVIB and khadi institutions concluded today.
The function was among others attended by P K.Nargotra Dy Chief Executive Officer KVIB, G M Wani Dy Chief Executive Officer KVTB, Santosh Saraf District Officer KVIB and bankers.
In all, 12 stalls were installed in the premises displaying Khadi & village industries products, pashmina shawls, sisal fiber items, readymade garments, electrical equipments, departmental honey etc for sale. People from all walks of life thronged the venue and showed their keen interest in the products displayed in the exhibition. A total of Rs 3.26 lakh of sale (cash / orders) has been recorded in all three days.
Speaking on the occasion, PK Nargotra said that promoting village industries in rural areas and popularization of khadi as a universal texture with high level of acceptability is a mission for which the KVIC (is committed to provide financial assistance to the state khadi boards and the people should come forward to avail these centrally sponsored schemes.
