| Demand uniform wages for casual labour | | Govt employees hold protest | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 14: A massive protest demonstration of government employees and workers under the banner of J&K National Trade Union Front and Employees Joint Action Committee (Third Front) was held today at Panama Chowk Jammu in Front of Divisional Commissioner’s office to highlight their demands.
The protesting employees said that daily rated workers, ICD Workers, Helpers and need base workers of PHE who are suffering badly for want of uniform wages policy under proper wages head.
Workers in large numbers from Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Udhampur, Reasi, Rajouri, Poorch, Kathua, Samba, Jammu and from different Districts of Kashmir valley participated the rally and raised slogans in favour of their demands
While addressing the rally Mohammed Gafoor State President J&K National Trade Union Front & JKEJAC (third front) urged upon the Govt. to settle the genuine demands of left over DRW's of Forest, PHE, Social Forestry and Irrigation who have been suffering for the last two decades for their regularization.
