They said the meeting which would be held in the Civil Secretariat at 3:30 pm will hold a threadbare discussion on Punjab government’s unilaterally decision to terminate the Inter-State Agreement on Water Sharing and refusal to adhere to the provisions of the agreement particularly in case of Jammu and Kashmir Besides, the cabinet was expected to make major reshuffle in the police and administration. “However, it isn’t in the agenda of the cabinet. But the Chief Minister has the powers to take up any issue even if it isn’t in the agenda,” sources told KNS. The cabinet is also likely to discuss and finalise the schedule for the ensuing urban local bodies election. The Chief Minister has already desired that the election process for the municipal corporations, councils and committees should be completed before May 15.
