2 Kashmiri youth, held on theft charges in | Delhi, likely to be brought here for recoveries | | EARLY TIMESC REPORT JAMMU, Dec 15: Two Kashmiri youth, who were arrested in New Delhi about a week ago for allegedly stealing luggage from hospitals and airports, were likely to be brought here for recoveries. Rafiq Dar and Irfan Malik, both residents of Srinagar, were apprehended from Apollo Hospital in New Delhi Saturday last for allegedly stealing luggage from hospitals and airports. While Dar's father runs a poultry business in Srinagar, Malik is an engineer and owns a computer paraphernalia shop in Srinagar. The arrests came following investigations into a complaint that two mobile phones of a patient were stolen from Apollo Hospital. CCTV footage was analysed and one suspect was identified as he was seen roaming unnecessarily in the very part of the hospital where the patient was recuperating. He was again seen Saturday morning wandering in the hospital. "He was intercepted and put to questioning during which he revealed his name as Rafiq Dar and confessed to have committed the said theft. He also named Malik, who was also apprehended from the Apollo Hospital complex itself. Police sources said they were likely to be taken to Srinagar in connection with some thefts.
