DySP allegedly involved in custodial killing sent to judicial custody | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 15: Principal Sessions Judge Ramban today remanded judicial custody of DySPSonaullah Naik then SHO P/S Ramban allegedly involved in custodial death of Ayaz Ahmed wani s/o Abdul Rahsid Wani and directed investigating agency to produced accused on next hearing on Dec 28. Principal Sessions Judge Ramban Akram Choudhary today remanded judicial custody of DySPSonaullah Naik then SHO P/S Ramban who is allegedly involved in custodial death of Ayaz Ahmed wani s/o Abdul Rahsid Wani and directed to be produced on December 28, 2011 when the main case has been listed. Principal Sessions Judge Ramban issued notice which was accepted by Public Prosecutor and seeks adjournment for filling objections, Court granted time and accused applicant is remanded to judicial custody is directed to be produced on December 28, 2011. According to case report on November 3, 1995, Ayaz Ahmad Wani son of Abdul Rashid Wani of Bankote Banihal, the owner of a renowned forest lease firm Gani Joo Assan Joo, was picked by then SHO Banihal on the orders of then Addl SP, and was taken to Police Station Ramban, where he was subjected to third degree torture continuously for four days. He died on November 10 at Government Medical College Hospital Jammu and a case under FIR NO 65/1998 was registered.
