| CM VISITS PHILATELY FESTIVAL | | | JAMMU, Jan 12
Jammu Postal Division organized its first Philatelic Festival at Kala Kendra Vision Centre, Jammu today. The festival was inaugurated by Minister of Health and Medical Education, Pt. Mangat Ram Sharma.
The Visit by J&K Chief Minister, Sh. Ghulam Nabi Azad added attraction to the Philatelic Festival. Sh. Azad was apprised by Chief Postmaster General, J&K Circle, Sh. Deepak Budki about the Philatelic Festival and description of postage stamps on display.
The aim of the Philatelic Festival was to project Philately as a colourful and exciting activity. About 300 students from various schools of Jammu city had mount their collections on A-4 size graph paper covered in plastic jackets at the Philatelic Festival.
At the conclusion of the ceremony awards and certificates were distributed among the winner students. |
