PHQ announces free coaching for police wards | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR: As a part of its welfare scheme Jammu and Kashmir Police, Headquarters (PHQ) has decided to bear the cost of coaching for the wards of police martyrs and serving personnel. The coaching would be imparted in two coaching institutes in Jammu and Srinagar enabling them to compete in professional entrance competitive examinations.
In a communiqué issued for press here today, it has been said that the Organisation would provide coaching in two reputed institutions viz A K Vidyamandir Jammu and S N Dass College, Srinagar.
Wards of police martyrs reading in police public schools would be given free coaching for the courses and in case of meritorious wards of serving Non-gazetted officers, who have secured eighty per cent or more marks in class 12th, fifty per cent of the total cost would bear the department.
The communiqué further said that the wards of serving lower subordinates having secured eighty percent marks or more in class 10th, 11th, and 12th, would be provided seventy five percent of the coaching fees. Free hostel and transport facilities would also be available for the children of far-flung areas.
Eligible and desirous students have been advised to approach Deputy Inspector General of Police, Srinagar and Jammu Ranges.
