| Army recovered AK ammunition from Scorpio | | Driver arrested, another managed to flee | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, Dec 15:Army today achieved a major success by recovering ammunition of AK 47 in Mandargala area of Rajouri district from a Scorpio.
The Scorpio car was on its way to Budhal Bakori area in Rajouri from Surankote area of Poonch District
As per information, a special team of 48 RR placed a vehicle checking naka on Bakori route in Mandargala area. During this naka, when Army team searched a white colour Scorpio car bearing number JK 12- 4453, they found some ammunition lying inside it. After the thorough search of this vehicle, Army team recovered 2 AK Magazines, 37 AK rounds, 10 m long rope, 5 mobile phones, 1 police card and few other papers. Soon after this recovery, Army arrested the driver of this Scorpio car who has been identified as Sarfraz Ahmed son of Sabar din of Surankote while another person travelling in the car who managed to flee off from the car has been identified as Amjed Malik.
The Police identity card recovered is of Talib Hussain with number 1231 while 5 mobile phones which have been recovered bear 3 Airtel and 2 Aircel sim cards. Police and Army is further investigating the matter.
