DySP lodges complaint against 6 cops including former SSP Reasi, SP, SHO | DIG to conduct inquiry on court direction | | Sumit Sharma Jammu, Dec 15: Former DySP HQ Reasi Mohd Aslam has lodged complaint against former SSP Reasi Keshav Ram Chourasia, former Additional SP HQ Reasi Anita Sharma, SHO Reasi Jatinder Singh Sambyal, Sub Inspector Vijay Thakur, Selection Grade Constable Subash Chand and Head Constable Charanjeet Singh through Chief Judicial Magistrate Reasi demanding registration of FIR against them under section 323,352,506/341,120B/19 RPC. In his complaint filed in the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Reasi, the former DySP HQ Reasi Mohd Aslam demanding registration of FIR under above said section against former SSP Reasi Keshav Ram Chourasia, former Additional SP HQ Reas Anita Sharma, SHO Reasi Jatinder Singh Sambyal, Sub Inspector Vijay Thakur, Selection Grade Constable Subash Chand and Head Constable Charanjeet Singh through Chief Judicial Magistrate Reasi alleged that he was roughed up and as a result he had received injuries also. 'Though I had lodged complaint to SHO Reasi but my complaint was put aside reason well known to the concerned officer, lamented former DySP who has been attached to IG Jammu Office after a heated argument with Former ASP Anita Sharma. Responding the plea the Court directed DIG Udhampur Reasi Range to lodge FIR against them after conducting inquiry. Aggrieved official referring to the incident when the two Police officers i.e. Anita Sharma and he himself had a verbal dual taking a ugly turn alleged that on 10.12.2011 when a public rally of Union Minister Farooq Abdullah was scheduled at Reasi he too was assigned to duty vide DPO Oder No PA-Conf/VVIP- Sec/2011/39907-37. He alleged that when he was on duty at Stadium Reasi where Dr Farooq Abdullah along with some NC leaders had to come, he was told by the people that some buses full with the NC activists were deliberately stopped at Zero Morh, Talware and Jyotipuram he inquired the matter from ASP Anita Shamra standing nearby. Reacting to the issue, he alleged the ASP Sharma instructed her two PSOs who came to him and roughed him up in full public ending up injuries to him. "The matter was reported to Davinder Rana, PRO to CM and Minister for Industries Surjeet Singh Salathia who took up the matter with Farooq Abdullah who left the dais fumigated over the issue,' aggrieved added. It is to mention that the trio of senior police officials namely SSP Reasi Keshav Ram Chourasia, Additional SP HQ Reasi Anita Sharma, and the aggrieved police were attached by a government order after they had feud over some issue during rally of Union Minister Farooq Abdullah on Dec 10. In his complaint to Director General of Police Kuldeep Khoda he also lamented that he had served the department for the last twenty years with dedication and even got gallantry medal while fighting insurgents in militancy infested area and wanted him to conduct an inquiry by DC Reasi as he was very much there when the incident took place . He further alleged that the moment the episode took place, he received phone call from his SSP Reasi Keshav Ram Chourasia even warned him of dire consequences and accordingly a case against him was registered. He further alleged that he had also lodged a complaint to the SHO Reasi but the same was put aside while he was lifted from his house in midnight to his surprise, he added in his complaint. Responding to complaint In a judgment CJM court stated: " it appears that the matter in question here in a matter inter-se the parties who are officials of police departments. Since some of the accused being the officials at the helm of affairs and are authorized to register the FIR in the case and order the investigation in the matter. I deem it proper that before registration of FIR inquiry needs to be held initially, since the parties being the higher officials of the same department I deem it proper that inquiry should be conducted by some senior official in the case. Hence Dig Udhampur Reasi Range shall hold inquiry into the matter and in case need arises, shall accordingly register the FIR in the case". |
