Duggar Drama Fest-2011 | Hilarious comedy Nandu Da Byah performed on concluding day | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu Dec 16: On the concluding day of Nav Durga Kala Manch’s Duggar Drama Fest -2011 organized by Aaditya Bhanu, Rajneesh Gupta’s Dogri play “Nandu Da Byah” was performed at Performing Art Studio under the direction of Aaditya Bhanu. The story line of the comedy play based on the social theme of colleagues working in an office and wooing a female colleague only to find later that she was already married was the core theme of ‘Nandu Da Byah’. The Dogri play full of laughter sequences’ was a light-hearted rendition by Rajneesh Gupta that aptly produced a working office environ of the contemporary settings where the colleagues often find themselves tangled in the tidbit anecdotes among themselves and land up in an embarrassing situation that creates a satirical humor in the end. Same was the story of “Nandu Da Byah’ where the central character is often found in a dilemma to get married soon and in the process falls for one, later to realize she was already married and had two children. Comedy king Pandit Jiya Lal Sharma was present on the occasion as a chief guest. He congratulated Aaditya Bhanu for their continuing efforts in the field of theater and also he awarded NDKM group with some donation. Tarun Sudershan Vasson played the central character of Nandu who mesmerized the audience with his deft handling of the character. Reetu Manhas played ‘Maa’ who added a strong feel of the character concerned over his son’s marriage played her role very efficiently. Aaditya Bhanu and Sakshi Dogra played the colleagues in the office to great perfection to make it a wholesome entertainer. Dilshad Shazi handled the music while lights were executed by Aman Verma. Make-up was by Heena Arora.
