JKHRW takes stock of militancy related activities | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 16: The J&K Human Rights Watch (JKHRW) under the chairmanship of B. L. Kapoor held a meeting in connection with taking stock of militancy related activities in the state and crime graph in the state. The activities of the civil society (JKHRW) expressed their views and urged upon the authorities to make more vigil on the militants activities and review security set up. B. L. Kapoor the state chairman of JKHRW while addressing said that the militants training camps have been running in Pakistan and the militants have been given training there and the trained militants are being sent to J&K for disturbing the peace and normalcy. The recent incident where an attack on Minister of Rural Development and Parliamentary Affairs Ali Mohd Sagar is an eye opener and evidence of presence of militants in the state and the militants are active in the state and killing innocent people by attacking on VIP’s and others who are working for the maintaining peace in the state. Kapoor however, appreciated the role of the Director General of Police Kuldeep Khoda who has been taking keen interest for maintaining peace and normalcy in the state and he has been directing police personnels to be loyal and people friendly and also show better policing but it is unfortunate that some police officers have been found hand in glove with the culprits which is a matter of great concern. Kapoor also said that IGP Jammu has done a lot for the betterment and as a result of that there is decline in crimes with the sincere efforts of Crime Branch Jammu also. Kapoor further said that infiltration attempts are on the borders though the militants infiltration bids foiled severely by security forces and army deployed on the borders for safe guarding the nation. Kapoor appealed Additional Director General of Police Security Ram Lubhya to intervene personally into the situation as usual, because the recent incidents and infiltration are alarming challenges of the anti-nationals.
