| Govt not implementing decisions taken in DDB meetings: Khan | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
MENDHAR (POONCH), Dec 16:Blaming successive National Conference (NC) regimes for the
backwardness and underdevelopment of Mandhar tehsil, senior PDP leader
and MLA Mendhar Sardar Rafiq Hussain Khan today said that it was only
during the regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed that various projects for
the upliftment of this regime were started.
Addressing meetings of Panches and Sarpanches at Sangiote and Chandial
villages of Mendhar tehsil, Sardar Rafiq Hussain Khan assured that he
will leave no stone unturned to solve problems being faced by the
people of this belt. He said that during the last 20 years this region
has remained ignored and neglected.
Flaying the present regime for not fulfilling promises with the
people, Khan said that during the last assembly elections National
Conference (NC) had made a number of promises with people of the state
not even a single promise has been fulfilled. He mentioned that
decision taken in the District Development Board (DDB) meeting of
Poonch district are yet to be implemented. Failure of the state
government to implement decision taken in the DDB Poonch reflects non
serious attitude of the state government for the development of this
region.
Khan called upon the party workers as well as Sarpanches and Panches
to participate in large number in the scheduled protest demonstration
to be held on December 21 at tehsil headquarter against corruption and
misgoverance in the present regime headed by Omar Abdullah.
