| Two days Jashan- e- Sadat to be organized on January 12-13 | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU , December 16 : In connection with the centaury celebrations of legendary Urdu short story writer Sadat Hassan Mantoo the department of Urdu, University of Jammu in collaboration with Daily Urdu Newspaper Uddan and Anjuman-e-Tareeqi Urdu Hind J&K is organizing two day Jashan-e-Sadat Hassan Mantoo on January 12 and 13 .
The Jashan includes two day National Seminar on the subject “Different Dimensions of Sadat Hassan Mantoo”, two day Book Exhibition in which Short Stories written by Mantoo and Books written on Mantoo would be displayed.
The Jashan concluded by organizing a Sham-e-Afsana in which towering short story writers of the country would present their Short Stories as a tribute to the legendary Urdu writer. A Stage play based on Mantoo’s short story would be staged on the occasion. Near about 100 delegates within and outside the state are participating in this two day Jashan.
Prominent those who are attending the Jashan includes Professor Sagheer Afraheim, Professor Mohd Zahid, Professor Majeed Bedar, Professor Beig Ehsas, Professor Nasir Ahmed Khan, Dr Seema Sagheer , Dr Anwer Pasha, Dr Khwaja Ikreheim, Dr Mohd Kazim, Dr Akeel, Dr Ali Javeed, Dr Shahid, Professor Shehnaz Anjum, Farat Rizvi, Dr Zia-Ul-Rehman, Professor Nazir Ahmed Malik, Professor Majeed Muzmer and others.
The two day Jashan would be organized in the Professor Gian Chand Jain seminar hall of the department of Urdu, University of Jammu which is likely to be inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Jammu University Professor Varun Sahni.
