| Sham – e – Gazal organsied to pay tribute to Jagjit | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU , December 16 : Nirvana Academy A Cultural Club (Regd.) and Nirvana Entertainers Katra organized Shaam - e - Gazal , “A Tribute to gazal maestro Jagjit Singh” at KC Residency Katra.
M K Bhandari Additional CEO Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Katra was the chief guest while P.K Pole DC Reasi, Atul K Goel SSP Reasi, Mohan Lal ASP Katra, P N Tickoo DSP Katra , Kuldeep Magotra , Avtar Soni and Hitesh Badyal President Nirvana Academy was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Programme started with lamp lighting followed by the gazal performances by the gazal artists of Jammu region.
Surpal noted gazal singer from Jammu started the programme with the song Chitthi na koi sandesh.
Subash and Neelam Langeh gazal singers from Reasi presented the classic duets of Jagjit and Chitra Singh. Kuldeep Kumar from Jammu, MoolRaj from Badherwah and Avtar Soni from Katra also sung gazals of Jagjit Singh and paid tribute to the king of gazals Jagjit Singh.
President Nirvana Academy said that nirvana academy organizes these kinds of shows to provide platform to the artists.
