| Media persons felicitated at Katra | | | Early Times Report
KATRA , December 16 : To felicitate the local media persons who contributed for highlighting the various events of Navratra Festival-2011 Katra in general and most sought after event “ All India Devotional Song Contest” in particular, the Chairman and members of Devotional Song Contest organized a simply but impressive function at Katra, the base camp of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji Shrine last evening.
Additional Chief Executive Officer, SMVDSB, Katra, Dr. M.K. Bhandri was the chief guest while Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, P K Pole presided over the function.
Dr. M.K. Bhandri while speaking on the occasion lauded the vigorous efforts of local people of Katra town in extending every help for making the annual event a grand success. He complimented the media persons for highlighting the Navratra Festival Katra in a big way adding that due to the sincere efforts of organizers and media persons the festival is gaining new heights and popularity with in out side the country after every passing year.
In his welcome address, the Chairman All India Devotional Song Contest, Rakesh Wazir lauded the contribution of the different media agencies for extending their cooperation in making the event a grand success . .
Besides media persons, the panel of judges of All India Devotional Song Contest 2011which includes Pradhuman Singh Jamwal, Anupama Sharma, Brij Mohan Sharma and Parveen Sabbarwal were felicitated jointly by Additional CEO, SMVDSB and DC, Reasi with shawls and mementos.
