| Conspiracy hatched to send his brother to Psychiatric hospital Srinagar lands Pattan civilian in trouble, Victim released | | | Srinagar, Jan 12 People in Pattan held massive protest against referring of a youth to psychiatric hospital by Tehsildar Pattan today. Police intervened to get the youth released from psychiatric hospital later. According to reports reaching here one Ab Majeed Peer S/O Gh Nabi R/O Wailoo Batpora on the instructions of Tehsildar Pattan admitted his younger brother Mohd Lateef at psychiatric hospital Srinagar. Local allege that Ab Majeed in connivance with Tehsildar concerned wanted to grab share of the ancestral property of his brother and hatched a conspiracy to send his brother to psychiatric hospital Srinagar. The people took to streets and staged massive protests on Srinagar-Baramulla National Highway following which the traffic was disrupted for one hour. Though police tried to pacify the protestors, but failed to disperse them. The protest ended, when a team of police officials accompanied a group of locals to psychiatric hospital Srinagar later and got Mohd Lateef released. The people accompanying Lateef took him to Radio Kashmir Srinagar where he narrated his woeful tale. It has been learnt that Ab Majeed managed to get a certificate from the doctors of psychiatric hospital Srinagar who declared Mohd Lateef a psychiatric patient. Police is investigating the matter. Lateef, according to KNS Correspondent, was greeted by a huge crowd on reaching his residential house at Wailoo Batpora Pattan.
